37 Kids Said "Yes" to Jesus at Camp in 2023!

What is Wilderness Camp Like?

New Environment

Most of the kids that come to camp have never been away from home or ever been camping in the woods. A week at camp gives these kids an opportunity to experience a new environment.

New & Challenging Activities

Between wilderness camping, morning team building initiatives, long hikes, canoeing, and swimming, the kids at camp are challenged throughout the week by many new and challenging activities.

Three-Story Relationships

My Story, Your Story, and God's Story. Throughout the entire week our YFC camp leadership team looks for opportunities to listen, share, and point to Jesus!

The Hope of the Gospel

On the last night of camp, the Gospel is clearly presented and every kid is given an opportunity to make an informed decision for Christ and have a one-on-one conversation and prayer with a leader.

High School Discipleship Camp

In the summer of 2021, YFC of Polk County began High School Discipleship groups for students who have been a part of YFC through middle school and expressed a desire to continue growing in their faith through their high school years. These groups have led to memorable summer experiences where high school students can participate in a week away and take some next steps in their faith journey.

This past summer our high school groups studied through the Biblical account of Creation, Noah, and the Flood. After reading and learning about these events, students experienced them close up at the Creation Museum and The Ark Encounter in Kentucky.

Walking through scenes of the Garden of Eden, The Fall of Humanity, a life-sized Biblical Ark, so they can see, hear, and touch what is read in scripture, was an extraordinary experience.
